For those considering this movie, if you have the option, do see it in IMAX. The Dubai sequence, as mentioned by other posters, is indeed amazing on an IMAX screen.

I opted to not go see it yesterday, but instead go today to the IMAX and see it there. You guys talked me into it.

After having seen MI on the AMC ETX (Enhanced Theater Experience) I wish I had seen some of the scenes on the IMAX. Some movies, even without 3D, really would benefit from seeing them on IMAX.

I just got back from seeing it at the IMAX. I really liked it. As a popcorn movie, I give it 9/10. There are some stunning visuals, death-defying acts, and you get a chance to see Ethan Hunt get really bashed up. It's the first time I recall him really injured in one of the MI films.

[MENTION=9213]ShinHakkaider[/MENTION] is right, the scene at the Burj Kalifa in Dubai is AMAZING on the IMAX screen. I was dizzy just watching from my chair.

The villain was a real mad-man, but they didn't paint him as a cartoony crazy dude. Simon Pegg had some classically funny lines, Jeremy Renner was strong, and Paula Patton kicked some butt too. They all played big roles in the film.

Damn Good Stuff.

It was very enjoyable. No depth of character, no intricate themes to think about. But it was fun and did not feel like a long movie. It was well paced and the scenes looked great.
