...but subject to dispel magic, and untradeable (you'll actually need to find someone willing to spend that XP for you).

Still, the amulet of mighty fists is overpriced for a monk.

Greater dispel magic actually (the DC for CL20 spells is too high for regular dispel magic). If your DM routinely tosses GDM's you way, a ring of counterspells can help.

My main reason remains the fact that using your bare hands, feet and such to strike something that exudes a film of acid or has a flaming aura, etc. simply sucks.
