I love those guys! 3E kinda ignored them, and 4E skipped them altogether, IIRC. 5E needs to see the return of gem dragons!

...But I'm okay with waiting for the psionics book for 'em. Gem dragons need some good psionics rules.

I love gem dragons! I would be very happy to see them return!
 

Steel dragon was my favourite non-core. I ran a campaign around a steel dragon sage and the problems of it's past affecting the city it lived in.

Long as they didn't waste space that could've gone to real monsters with *choke* gem dragons, I'm fine with it.

I love the gem dragon artwork in the 2nd Ed. AD&D Monster Manual. But still confused about the amethyst dragon spitting a "lozenge" that explodes. "The red dragon belches fire and the amethyst dragon hacks up a cough drop?"
