Monte's secret project confirmed

Let me get this straight, Flex - you want a book full of stat blocks with no descriptions that doesn't make referrence to anything written in the past two decades? ;)

- Sir Bob.

[snip requests]

You do know that Monte finished the book some months ago, don't you? It's way too late for him to add or change stuff, and I imagine, given how WotC seems to work, probably pretty near too late for the WotC editors & such to change much. (Hopefully, it's not too late for them to fix typos and errors. :D )

The only thing from your list that it's probably not too late to do is the send you a signed copy bit. And that should only happen if they send me one, too. ;)

Please don't draw too much inspiration for the Arch-Devils, Daemons, & Demon Princes from Planescape.

1) It's already written. You pleas fall on deaf ears! Muahahaha!

2) Monte was one of the cheif contributors to PS. I think not only is it highly likely he drew from that experience, he made that experience! :)

So suffer! :)

I can just picture Jack Chick walking around in Barnes and Noble and suddenly seeing that on the shelf.

you think he actually leaves his house? there's a lot of scary things out there in the world. ;)

Well no, they could write descriptions based on the old 1e stuff. But the not referencing anything since 1983 or so is on the mark. ;)

Do the math: 2002 - 1983 = 19 years. 10 years = 1 decade. 19 years = 1.9 decades, or roughly 2.

So happy people can talk about this book finally. I've had a copy of the draft for many months, and it was torture not being able to mention it (though I did try to give a hint in the interview Monte did here, by asking a question about a book on evil...he evaded, and Morrus picked up the ball and ran with it some more, and he evaded even more. Monte knows how to keep a secret). And before you ask, no, I'm not going to tell anyone anything about it until it has been released and is on the shelves (other than to say it is good).
