(Note - I'm only using PHB here.)

For Forget, I'd take a look at Modify Memory. MM only has a single target, where Forget has an AoE, but otherwise they're... well, related, at least. MM is also 4th level to Forget's 2nd.

For Fumble, I'd modify either Ray of Enfeeblement, giving a scaling penalty to Dex, or Feeblemind, setting their Dex to 1. Note that both have a duration longer than Fumble, and RoE is much lower level, so you could afford to make it nastier as a 4th level spell. Fumble also had some effect even on a successful save.

There's nothing that approximates Confuse Languages in the PHB... you'll have to build it from scratch :)

well, at least if you don't have any ideas on how to convert trip, could someone at least tell me what it does? :)

Grease would probably work as an approximate trip type spell... maybe not exact in the way it works but the end result is near enough.

here's a question, how would the trip spell, as a spell-like ability, work when combined with or opposed to a normal trip attack (as in the 3E PHB?)

Trip in First Edition causes an object like a stick, vine, pole, etc, to become a tripwire, essentially, rising slightly off the ground and becoming 80% undetectable. Saving throw to avoid falling if you cross it, damage if you're moving too fast, bonus to save if you know it's there.

In 3E, just treat it as an Animate Rope spell with a 10 min/level duration, or something similar.
