I know I'm not the first to do this, but...
I created a more traditional gnome and because of the redefinition clause I used the term "arcane gnome" based on the race out of Dragon magazine to write them up. I also made a half-orc, but I used the Munchkin philosophy and just made it better than the orc just because I could:
Arcane Gnome
Average Height: 3’ 4" – 3’ 8"
Average Weight: 50–75 lb.
Ability Scores: +2 Intelligence, +2 Charisma
Size: Small
Speed: 5 squares
Vision: Low-light
Languages: Common, Elven
Skill Bonuses: +2 Arcana, +2 Insight
Illusion Mastery: An arcane gnome who is not a wizard may use the wizard cantrips of ghost sound, light, and prestidigitation as encounter powers. An arcane gnome that is a wizard gains the illusionary ambush at-will power (see Dragon Magazine) as a bonus power instead.
Bonus Ritual: An arcane gnome may use the animal messenger ritual (see Player's Handbook) even if he does not have the ritual casting feat. He must buy the feat in order to be able to perform any other rituals.
Half-Orc
Average Height: 5’ 10" – 6’ 4"
Average Weight: 168–225 lb.
Ability Scores: +2 Strength, +2 Constitution
Size: Medium
Speed: 6 squares
Vision: Low-light
Languages: Common, Giant, One additional of the player's choice
Skill Bonuses: +2 Endurance, +2 Intimidate
Dual Heritage: You can take feats that have either orc or human as a prerequisite (as well as those specifically
for half-orcs), as long as you meet any other requirements.
Group Intimidate: You grant allies within 10 squares of you a +1 racial bonus to Intimidate checks.
Running Charge: When you charge, add 2 to your speed.
Warrior’s Surge: You can use warrior’s surge as an encounter power (see Monster Manual).
