Most useless book ever?

In hindsight, a lot of those FFG books were pretty useless too. $5 is one thing but when you wish you had that $5 back for some of them is saying something.

Do you mean FFE? or FFG?

I have trouble imagning FFG stuff as useless :uhoh:

I'd have to say my two 3.0 player's guides, and my 3.0 DM's guide. I traded away my 3.0 monster manual or that would be on there too.
I guess you could say either the Shadowrun 3rd Edition
That's too bad Shadowrun is great.

heh...after I hit the submit button I realized it...I at first thought you were talking about Foundation. That's what I get for posting and listening to the distractingly well endowed coworker tell me about her home improvement projects.

Nice save

I apologize for being so distractingly well endowed :p

Dragon Lords of Melinbone- did have a cool critical fumble chart.

Diomin?- eeeks, i threw this out for shelf space

Oriental Adventures- good book but completely useless to me

Dieties and Demigods- Useless to the extreme.

All the initial WOTC splat books- redone and redone more, who needs them now?

The Scarred Lands stuff- Someday i will look at it again...someday

I better stop or i will have a mental breakdown over all the $$ down the drain.

Anyone giving away Dieties & Demigods or Complete Divine for free, let me know. I could use the write-ups of Kurtulmakism and other related religions. (Religious conflict among the kobolds will be a big element of my Midwood campaign.)

Fantasy Flight. I bought a ton when they had their 5$ sale. Some were good, some I cracked open once and wanted my $5 back.

Well, there's "useless", and there's "bad." My choice is the former, but not the latter.

I bought the MUTANTS AND MASTERMINDS book two years ago on the basis of all the good things I'd heard about it. Unfortunately, I've never read it, Not even once. The binding is still uncracked. And now that the second edition of it is out, I'll never never never have need of it in a game.

Which is not to say it's a BAD book - certainly many people love it - but I've never used it. Not even to flip through and look at the pictures (time gets away from one, dontchaknow). I should have just taken the money and thrown it at one of my credit cards, instead.

BAD Useless Books:
Deities and Demigods - WotC - I can't quite remember why I even wanted this. I knew what it was, but...
Sword and Fist - WotC - Boring, bland, with nothing that really piqued my interest. Sold it.
Complete Psionics Handbook - tSR - Used it once. We spent most of the game trying to figure out if what we were doing was by the rules or not. Never used it again and sold it a garage sale.
Path of the Sword - FFG - Utterly boring. Even worse considering I bought this to fill the hole that the dreadful Sword and Fist failed to fill.

The Most Useless BAD Book of All:
Demons and Devils - FFE - So bad that I stopped buying 3rd party books for 2 years. I sold it at a garage sale and never used it once.

Good Useless Books:
(Or, the books that I love, but I just can't seem to use)
Monsternomicon - Privateer Press - A book that I love, but I just haven't used. At all.
Fiend Folio - WotC - I really, really, really like this book but I never seem to find use for it.
