Movie "Druids" w/ Chris Lambert......

I'm still constantly surprised that there are real, honest-to-God flesh-and-blood human beings who can watch a Chris Lambert movie. That guy paradoxically sucks AND blows. If he were one person in a crowd scene in Hamlet, he could find a way to make the whole play suck.

No love for Highlander?

I was looking for Equilibrium today (never even heard of it til someone mentioned it a week or so ago here) and came across Druids for the first time as well. Guess I won't be going back for it.

No love for Highlander to speak of. I mean, Connery's a little enjoyable, but it's pretty goofy. A Queen soundtrack should be a big tip-off that what your about to see may not be Citizen Kane.

I give it one star for Connery. Connery alone could have made it a two-star, but Lambert is just that bad.

Highlander was a great movie, it's a good thing they never made a sequel, it would of been a really bad idea.......

As far as Lambert he really gets involved with some bad movies, they would be stinkers whether he was in them or not. He must really have a bad agent or something, most of his movies can be spotted for trash just by looking at the back of the box.

I never watched Druids, but I sure see it in a lot of bargain bins, when you can buy it cheaper than you can rent it then that is normally a bad sign.

I thought Lambert was fine in Highlander. And his brief bits in Mortal Kombat were fine.

But he's limited otherwise. An ex-gf was a huge Lambert fan so I got to see more of his movies than I'd prefer. I'll never forget a scene where he's supposed to be talking about how happy he is, but he still looks as dark and haunted as ever.:)

Lambert was actually good in Mortal Kombat (at least I thought so) but I agree most of his other non-Highlander movies have been mediochre to terrible at best. Has anyone seen the Beowulf movie he did?

Lambert was good in Highlander (the first one) and Mortal Kombat, but I can't think of any other good movies he's been in. I kinda feel sorry for the guy. He really should kill his agent, since it seems like the only movies he's been able to land in the last few years are awful low-budget, straight-to-video stinkers.

And yes, Ghostwind, I have seen the Beowulf movie he was in. Just plain bad would be the only way to describe it. If you want to see a better movie version of the Beowulf story, rent The 13th Warrior.

 No love for QUEEN?!?!

Highlander's one of those movies that got made a decade or two too soon. Widen should've let the concepts roll over his pallette for a while, but I guess he wrote it as a project while still in film school so.. oh well.

Which I've always found really interesting, since the guy has a good screen presence IMO.

Yet, his movies always suck (with one or two exceptions, where the movies were good despite him).

Highlander's already been mentioned. I think it's a pretty good movie. Better yet, Greystoke, which is a terrific film.

Other than that, yeah, Lambert movies pretty much suck. The Sicilian is particularly terrible.
