Hi all,
I just want to share, in case others find it a useful jumping point, the character sheets I created for my players. These are NOT generic sheets with boxes and spaces. Nothing here autopopulates or calculates. This is not about crunching numbers to create a character but having a formatting template to show just what you need to play. My players preferred powers on their sheets the way you see here to having power cards to manage. Just look and you'll see what this is and isn't intended to do.
A few explanatory notes: They're all landscape format, 3 columns with a wider first column for HP, defenses, init, basic attacks, abilities, skills, and other stuff. 2nd and third continue with what's left and move on to powers and other at-will, encounter, and daily effects, presented in a fashion similar to the PHB. You'll notice it is not verbatim; everything has been condensed or reworded based on my intuitions and feedback from my players to minimize confusion and maximize brevity. Note that the wizard sheet does not specify INT as the basis for attack rolls and damage because that's a universal and she's never going to have that change based on weapons, plus the sheet is already the longest (and thus smaller font). You'll also see that I listed Prestidigitation as if it were the 1 and only Cantrip as a quick summary block and then on the next page a longer explanation; this is my houseruled version of Prestidigitation which combines all cantrips into one power.
