MtG Movie?

Ooh, a Stretch Armstrong movie! I had a Stretch as a kid. Broke my heart when his arm ripped off and all that red goo inside gushed out all over the carpet. No more Stretch toys for me thereafter.

Let's hope Stretch in the movie will be anatomically correct. He'll have one more "appendage" to play with.

To be honest, MtG is about the only property out of which I can really see a movie coming out of. Clue's already been done. Battleship's a bit too abstract to get a filmable story. And Monopoly? How much mileage can they really get out of Moneybags making a killing on real estate in Atlantic City?

Ok, there's also the possiblity of Candy Land, but that would end up being so cloyingly kiddie that I'd want to puke.

I remember hearing that it was shot with several endings, and at any given cinema you wouldn't be sure which was the actual ending.

I don't know if they ever did that though.

They did. The DVD has all the endings.

Considering they are making a movie out of Speed Racer, I doubt hollywood will find any concept "unfilmable".

Hey, it's actually a challenge for good directors to find something "unfilmable" and make it work. (Making work should mean "be a good, quality piece of entertainment and art", but in pratice it can also mean "makes enough money to make the studio happy" to "makes the director enough money". And sometimes, trying means failing )
(see "Phone Booth", the legend says this was actually a "challenge" from the grand master Hitchcock himself...)
