Magic: The Gathering could be interesting. You probably would want to base the movie on a good novelization.

As for Monopoly, eh. I can't imagine what screenwriter would want that task. The Simpsons parodies are funny.

Clue rocks. They replay it on cable TV frequently; haven't seen it in a number of years, though.

Indeed, as mentioned above. I saw it in the theater and was lucky enough to get the "best" ending (the final one on the movie/DVD).

"Communism was just a red herring."

Now, don't hold me to this, but an earlier press release I remember reading (don't ask where it is) stated that Monopoly was going to be a comedy - which I can see to a certain extent. The madcap antics of two business tycoons trying to sabotage each other's efforts to get the really nice property at Boardwalk and Park Place. If this is true, I'd expect to see some of the sillier Chance and Community Chest cards enter play (2nd Place Beauty Contest almost writes itself), and some manner of visual shorthand referring back to the game (the houses and hotels they build are shaped like the game pieces, different neighborhoods are color coded, etc).

I wonder if the main characters will get into an argument about the house rules? "The way I've always played this game, you can make deals even from prison!" "I'm not letting you do that until we start earning money from Free Parking!"

Demiurge out.

Battleship = The Hunt for Red October?
Monopoly = Tading Places?

Candyland (with a 3D Barbie as Princess Frostine), John Cleese as the villainous Lord Licquorice and Whoopie Goldburg as Gamma Nut (Goopey would have to be cgi)
