Munchkinizing the Game

reapersaurus said:
First: don't use max damage when estimating how much damage a character does: use average damage (also don't assume a crit unless you work to guarantee there will be one).

Second: read the Sultans of Smack thread.
In it, I've got the Strength Smack up to around 100 STR, so that alone should crush this pathetic little frenzied berserker LOL

Third: it's the standard on the ENBoards to use 16th level smacks.

First, he asked for the maximum damage we could eke out of a character, not the average. The OP takes precedence over tradition.

Second: wanna enter this game here? Do or do not: there is no brag.

Third: The standard on other threads does not apply.

Good point, Daniel.
I missed that (somewhat) insinuation to begin with.

Of course, I dislike concentration on only the max, since as was already mentioned, it would NEVER happen.
Plus, it skews the Smack to include only high-crit multiplying weapons for melee-based Smacks.

2) You can look at the Smackdown thread if you want - it's there for anyone to see. I don't see why a new thread should have been created, but go to town....

I just wanted to mention that he applies his Wisdom modifier to Atk, Damage, and AC. Just thought that that was an interesting tidbit. And Inertial Armor is another 4 points of AC.

You all suck. :D

The most damage you can eck out is done with shapechange. Assume shapechange is cast. Fly overhead as a humming-bird, fly wahtever. Turn into a 200'by200'by200 slab of iron, granite, adamantite whatever is the heaviest material. Fall on your foes, doing millions of d6 to all in the area of effect.(note not millions if you cram 1,000 people in the area of effect but millions to each thing in the area of effect) The damage is 1d6per 200lbs of weight I beleive, a 200'by200by200' or 8,000,000 cubic feet.(can't find the weight site, but lets put irom in at 100lbs per cubic foot to be on the low side) so 800,000,000lbs or 4,000,000 d6+1d6 per 10' fallen max+20d6.

Yeah, but you take that damage too. But, the thing is, you don't shapeshift . . . you mindcontrol the party rogue, and make him use UMD to activate his scroll of shapeshift! :D

you'd only take the distance falling damage I would think, so just fall 10' for 1d6, and really what's 19d6 out of 4,000,000.

LOL, yup, I could do much better than you Shard. Just add Lead (or Bismuth, or Osmium or whatever it is)

Just kidding. Actually, Jeph, your smack looks really good. You could also add Rhino Hide armor for that charge attack, although it would mean giving up your Wisdom bonus to AC. You could also Power Attack for 16 to increase damage even more.

By the way, the OA feat that lets you make another attack whenever you roll an unarmed crit makes for as much maximum damage as you could ever want...

In the frenzied Berserker example, you're forgetting that You can only gain one extra partial action per round. period.

IIRC, the damage from turning into a falling object would cap at 20d6. I could be wrong on this.

And 100 strength is just plain weak. I 20th level Egoist can boost his strength to the mid-340s, possibly higher.

Let's see what i can come up with.

Human Psion (Egoist) 20

Feats: Power Attack, Inner Strength x4, Talented, Body Fuel, Quicken power

Stats all 18 except Strength.

Strength 18 (base)
+5 inherent
+6 enhancement
+5 from level ups
34 total

PP total 309

Psychofeedback power Stone
Potion of Haste

Drink Potion and use power Stone

Burn all PPs on Psychofeedback, for an additional +197 strength modifier. total Strength mod is now 209. Full power attack with a +5 chaotic evil bane flaming scythe, for a total of 922 damage per attack. With three attacks, you're getting 2766 points of damage, plus a quickened Baleful teleport, for an additional 54 damage. total to one target in one round: 2820. You could always Mind Switch a giant or somesuch to boost damage even further (Increased strength and larger weapon). Id guesstimate the damage from that at roughly 3500.

Wheres it say you can get only one partial action a round?

As far as I know, you can get as many as you qualify for, although as with bonuses, like partial actions don't stack (so you can't be Hasted twice, for example.)

For example someone with Expert Tactician who was hasted could theoretically make two extra attacks, assuming the they were in a position to utilize Expert Tactician.
