Munskins/Power gaming - Two weapon fighting feat with two bastard sword

The point of playing this game is to push the boundaries of reality.

Plus, wielding 2 bastard swords is not that crazy...

Now.. try this.

a) Two-weapon Fighting feat.. extra attack
b) Improved Two-weapon Fighting feat.. another extra attack
c) Monkey grip.. wield a two handed weapon in one hand

and 2 +2 mercurial greatswords of speed.

Now THAT is abuse. And perfectly reasonable, to boot.

IIRC people have already pointed this out in this thread, above.

Not in 3.5. (And as far as I know, mercurial weapons haven't shown up in 3.5 yet.)

It happens. Going by the number of other posts, you definitely aren't the only one who's thought of that.

He's . . . Hyper. He has Improved Initiative, Combat Reflexes, and 3.0 Haste!

Some people already say this combination. My point about thing like this is... Do you play the game only to kill, or you want to roleplay a character ?

I guess this fun time to time to make the best killing machine available, but i don't think this very funny for the other player who don't use the rules to have the maximum efficiency.

Don't forget also that the rules is the base to play the game. They had not tell every details to each situation.

For exemple, in monkey grip they should have writed that this feats can't be use in two weapon fighting. Come on, how can you expect to use two greatsword of 6 feets each ?

Let me ask you this, if a person want's to roleplay a character who uses 2 bastard swords, why is he a munchkin? A concept isn't inherently munchkin. A good roleplayer can play Timmy the crippled beggar just as well as he can roleplay Gragnar the Greatsword wielding deathmachine.

If he truly want to roleplay the character why not, but i think this kind of choice is mostly for doing the most damage possible in this case.

BTW the other guys who replied to this topic teach me what is really munchkin these day. I guess my group of friend don't play very powerful stuff beside what the people are use to be in enworld.

I'm very surprise to hear thing such as half giant with two great sword, two weapon style with two sunblade.

Yeah i know, but i must agree that my exemple of a guy with two bastard is very weak beside all the power monger stuff people told me like the half giant with two greatsword hehehehe
