2004 was my biggest spending year yet...

1. Books at a big discount, I've even lost track of how many I bought. When you get them for less than retail, you just tend to buy more of them. I think there were at least a dozen last year. And there's currently 5 more on order. That covers the $250 in itself.

2. A guy in one of my groups was buying figs by the case online, and we were splitting them. Easily $200 there.

3. Ink cartidges for the maps I print out for the two different groups - that's $72.00 a pair for them, and I think I went through 3 sets last year.

But, as has been stated in other posts, I wouldn't change any of it. It's a hobby that I love, and it all makes the gaming experience for me and the the players more fun. After all, it's only money, but the game provides a lifetime of stories!

Hmm... adding up all the gaming stuff I bought at Amazon for myself comes up to just under $250. But if video games and the like count, I'm over $250.

Way, WAY over $251 - but the ONLY reason for that is that I was investing heavily in miniatures. If not for the plasticrack I'd have spent maybe $200 tops the entire year.

more then 250.....heck, I spent over 250 on gaming books at Gen Con alone.

Quoted for truth.

Clay, your poll doesn't go nearly high enough. I think that I spend about $100 a month, except for the month of August. So upwards of $1500.

See, if we had kids, all that money would have to be spent on *then* instead of D20.
