my etools 1.2 patch experience so far

Here's another bug:

A paladin with a positive cha mod is correctly getting that added to saving throws. However, a paladin with a negative charisma mod is incorrectly having that subtracted out of saves. Only cha bonuses (positive mods) should be affecting paladin saves for divine grace.

Again, with my development version:

Unknown, Male Ogre Giant4/Bbn1: Large Giant ; HD 4d8+8 ( Giant) , 1d12+2 ( Barbarian) ; hp 40; Init -1; Spd 40; AC 13 (Flatfooted: 14, Touch: 8); Atk +8 base melee, +2 base ranged; AL CE; SV Fort + 8, Ref + 0, Will + 1; STR 21, DEX 8, CON 15, INT 6, WIS 10, CHA 7.

Possessions:
Magic: Wondrous: Amulet of natural armor (+5).

Stats screen shows 18 as well (guess I missed fixing that one)

Another bug

I re-created my dwarven fighter last night. For some reason a Cloak of Resistance +1 gave me a +3 to my saves. When I took it off, I still had the +3 Magic to my saves. I put the cloak back on and it jumped to a +6. For some reason it just kept on adding the magic bonus but never taking it away. I sold the cloak and bought it again. Same problem. I closed E-Tools and restarted and it was still there. I now have a +12 to my saves. I don't mind it, but I just don't think it is legal. ;)

Oh Byngl, one more thing. Should the patch have been able to do a clean install? Or should it have needed a previous version?

WHen I downloaded and installed it, it went to a new directory and I was able to run it just fine. I erased my old copy and it still worked. Should it do that?

I have touched up my old character and monster stat blocks, and created (after MUCH trial and error -- that's the only way I'll learn, I guess) a character stat block/spellsheet combo (this one's good for NPCs).

http://webpages.charter.net/ericnoah/noahrpg/etdl/statblock.zip

If anyone wants to take a shot at making a version of the spellsheet that only shows spells prepared for "fire and forget" spellcasters, but shows spells known for "on the fly" casters, that would be great -- the spellsheet gets pretty long when there are so many spells listed.

Very nice Eric. I have also made some modifications to the revised character sheet that CMP put out.

I added in a remaining column to the experience points section. That way at a quick glance you can see how many XP you need for the next level without doing the math.

I also changed the font size in the header. I found that with the larger font that CMP was using, some of my information was wrapping the table using more space then I liked. I went back to the font size used in the original sheets.

I also added in a 3 different sections to the money. Now there is a column for coins, gems, jewelry and misc stuff. It just helps keep things orginized.

The Light, medium and heavy load section I also put the weight information below the text. This keeps the weight sizes from wrapping.

I downloaded your character sheet. Very nice work.
I have a question...how do you get the gems to show up in the GEMS list by the money list....

Later....
