My FLGS sold me the Red Box early.

Red Box

My store just got them today. The box was marked with a street date of 9/7/10 on the box. However, WotC has stated that as a premiere store we do not have to abide by street dates on D&D products. We have found nothing on the packing slip that says that the Red Box is to be handled differently than any other product.

We have not been able to get in touch with our rep from WotC. In the past he has stated that for D&D products, we can sell them when as soon as the shipment arrives. I would think that if the Red Box was an exception to that policy then we would be notified.

As long as neither of you cuts the plastic wrap or opens the boxes in any way, you should be fine.
Interestingly enough, I have yet to open it. I had the wife hide it, in fact.

I have a pathophysiology final in the AM (summer session), and I have to study for it tonight. I know myself well enough to know that I don't have the willpower to force myself to study if distractions like that are available.

You know my wife did this for me a while ago and then she wrote me a riddle to solve so I could find it when my "more important" business was over.

It was the coolest riddle hunt adventure to find an RPG prize at the end.
