Superior (in every way IMO) to the 2024 PHB cover. Not at all muddy. Better composition. Thankfully not pastel-y (the bane of official 5E art). Torch flame excellent.

I hope so as well! But, to be honest, with the current gaming climate, it's going to be tough to reach the success of the MME series. I just hope I at least get back what I poured in.

Haha, nice catch. It was a layout issue. Originally, it was flipped the other way. But the red ribbon was blocking Diana's hand and torch. It didn't look good. So I inverted it.

Here's how it originally looked.

It didn't look good even if I raised the ribbon higher. And it can't any lower than where it is, right now. It would look really off.

So, I flipped it and I said it was better this way even if it did make all of them except Diana look all left-handed.

in general I really like the cover. The nostalgia value speaks to me obviously and it is technically well done. However, I do think the overall image is a bit dark. As someone you rarely adventures in dungeons, it doesn’t quite suit my tastes. Nice work overall though.

Also, who is the artist (or did I miss it in the OP)

I know, and my statement stands. Tyler Jacobson who did the cover art for the 2024 is a very talented and award winning artist. Comparing his hard work to AI is an insult. I expect better from the creative minds in these boards. I guess I shouldn’t have.
