My players' pet theory is better than what I had planned. Is it cheesy for me to change things to match?

I'd ask: would my players rather have the right theory as they envisioned or as I envisioned? As a player, the challenge of unfolding the DM's vision in the campaign is something that moves me forward, and knowing that the DM changed his plans to harmonize them with my own suspicions would certainly make me feel cheated. But that's me, and your players certainly have their own interests.

Cheers,
