My sordid tale of NG vs CN and reincarnating that which tried to kill us

I'm going to try to answer most questions with a nice long backgrounder for you guys. Thanks for reading though you can likely just go to the end and start advising.

Alright the background:

Campaign: High Power stats (start with a +12 total) at about 8th level. DM was overly generous previously and so we have more than 50% more than what the DMG says we should have at our level (8-10 spread).

Seemingly our goal is to take out a former Paladin/Blackguard who has managed to piss off a couple FR dieties royally and has psionics up the wazoo and a number of really nasty Lieutenats.

Party: Winged Human Archer (Ftr/Rgr), Minotaur Fighter, Evoker (Wiz/Fatespinner), Elf Rogue/Wizard, Shade Spellthief

My Character: Drd3/Wiz3/MT2 going into Arcane Heirophant, worships Chauntea as is pretty much the only Good character (NG), all the others being CN (well there's the Shade that got turned into LG by the Deck of Many things but he and the DM have something in secret that the rest of us don't know).

Recent Events: We just finished a quick trip to a quieter part of Baator to rescue a PC and fulfill another's Gaes. On our way back we ended up in a Forest, barely avoided getting our asses handed to us by a Red Dragon and came across a seemingly friendly Bugbear. After a religious experience in an Elven temple a couple of the party members decided the Bugbear was obviously the control of our main villian. Now my character wasn't certain for a couple reasons, one being that we were dealing with old elven magic and so reaction to their temple's enchantments was not a gaurantor of anything, and secondly the Ranger's interpretation of the magical items was not necessarily accurate. So there was doubt, but they tried to kill the thing anyway. It ran. And I was angry because we hadn't solved the question of what happened.

We ran into it again outside of the forest fighting a Hobgoblin. I suppose I managed to convince the others to feel guilt as we came to its aid. It sneak attacked the Evoker and damn near killed him. We quickly managed to subdue the Bugbear and the attack made the rest of the party decide that the Hobgoblin might not be so bad. The Minotaur got tired of pinning the Bugbear while we were questioning and arguing about it's fate amongst ourselves that he decided to put his fist through its face. Given his strength and the Bugbear's 1 hitpoint, it died.

Now, I wasn't happy about our attacking it in the first place, and killing it while there was still information we could extract was not my idea of a good plan. We found out that it was hired while in Luskan to lead us into a trap. I figure that trap was the Kobold Sorceror we just killed and the Hobgoblin that just walked off. The rest of my party still thinks the Hobgoblin is a friend so they go after him. I grab a decent chunk of the Bugbear corpse and follow. So we travel the remaining two days to town without incident with various party members telling the Hobgoblin everying.

My solo action: We get ourselves back to the keep (in Waterdeep) attained through the Deck of Many things and as it's effectively mine, I go and reincarnate the Bugbear.

The Bugbear comes back as very attractive female Elf, and is effectively my prisoner. I have no idea how long I'll be able to hold her because she has at least 8 levels and considering the sneak attack, can likely do a decent job in getting out.

I have found out that the Hobgoblin was in fact one of the big bad's Lieutenants.

My Dillema:

I have the NPC locked up and the rest of the party is not going to be thrilled I reincarnated them. I know that all of the plans that were told to the Hobgoblin are compromised so all that we were intending on doing is now impossible to do without having extra fun stuff waiting for us.

How and how much should I tell the party?

What can I do to try to redeem the new Elf to make them useful rather than a threat?

You should talk to her, explain her your stance and ask to understand hers. Discuss, share experiences, make friends. You will have to give in to some of what she says, and she will do the same, because both of you will hope to sway the other to their respective cause.

Show annoyance and anger at your comrades for being unable to confide in them. Tell her she's the only one you can talk to about what's happening, since it's the same situation for her.

Maybe you can get her to join your side. If not, tell her you'll have to kill her now, but then prove unable to do so. Let her go. Follow her in animal shape (that's what druids do, right?) to the secret hide-out. Sneak into the minotaur's chamber, and when the lieutenant appears, claim to have come for her, and declare your love for her. Maybe the DM will then have her change sides, and it would be an intense moment. Otherwise, defeat her despite your love (think Buffy killing Angel in season 2), and it will still be a memorable scene.

As to what to tell the other players? At first, I'd say nothing. They will have fun seeing you interact, anyway, and also have fun role-playing their shock when your secret is revealed.
