So the situations been pretty much boiled down to it's core over in the rules forum;
1. stealth is meant to be used in combat to grant CA, which seems very potent for ranged attacks
2. the rules are pretty confusing
3. it seems like a lot of dice rolling
4. errata is inbound
So in the meanwhile my houserule is this;
you combine all of the actions taken in your turn thus far when calculating stealth penalties, such as movement, speaking etc... including attacking, the penalty for which is automatic invalidation.
So instead of attacking and then stealthing, you must stealth FIRST, then attack, all on your own turn, ending with zero stealth.
Only your target need roll opposed perception, for after you have attacked you are visible again to everyone.
