"The game in the issue I'm working on now (not yet announced because we're still trying to think up a cool title for it) is the furthest from "safe" gaming genres than we've published so far. It's superficially like a few games that have been on the market before, but it's the sort of thing that's either going to tank outright or build up an audience from the ground up"

Well, remember, "Monkey Pit Fighting" is already taken, as is "Wuthering Heights: The Role-Playing Game."

But I am officially intrigued.

I'm guessing Wizards loses a lot less money on a Polyhedron that tanks than on, say, a SAGA or Amazing Engine that tanks. So presumbably Polyhedron will be the place to try the weird and wacky and potentially unpopular stuff.

More Pulp Heroes

Any news on the status of the rumored Pulp Heroes article on Prestige Classes? also, are there any Pulp Heroes fansites out there with adventures? My group wants to play more but I'm having a dry spell writing-wise :)

Should be interesting to watch, if nothing else. :)

Okay, now I'm really curious. (I like weird games.) Would this be the issue between Spelljammer and Gamma World? And are you forbidden from telling us what it is? While I don't want to turn this into Monte's Secret Book Part II, even a hint would be nice.

Ok, i just thought of something i'd put on a wish list. More cool art from the comic industry, Jim Mahfood's work on Shadow Chasers was great. I'd love to see more tallent from my second favorite industry, do work in my favorite. If i could pick one name I'd probably say Brett Booth, i reacentlly saw his web sight and he does fantastic fanatasy style art, as well as being one of the best in the comics field.

Hmm, given some of the stuff we've seen on the market before, I can only hope that Erik will tread on the more unusual side for future Polyhedrons- more Whispering Vault, Xero and Hol, than Bughunters or Giant robots- IMO Besm does Mecha best anyway.

And while I'm making suggestions...

If there is to be a d20 Western game in Polyhedron (and I don't see why not), it must be called Boot Hill. I never played boot Hill, I don't even know anybody who has played it, but tradition is tradition.

Hi JPL, my names Neo.... there now you know someone who owns it and has played it <g>
