Sol nimbly leapt past the pile of trolls and moved with a surge of shimmering speed towards the giant peppering them with javelin sized arrows from the trees. "Are you scared to come out and play big boy? Maybe you should have turned tail to run when you had the chance" she purred. Somehow she managed to end up right beside the giant and drove forward with a sudden spinning attack. The giant tried to dodge away instinctively, using the trees as protection, but Sol's blow was merely a flashy feint.

And as her cloak spun up around her like a twisting snake, flash it did indeed. The giant flinched and threw it head back, smashing it hard against a thick branch. The giant groaned, evidently dazed momentarily, buying the group precious seconds to act.

The giant is amongst the trees, but is not actually up in one - he's on the ground. Sorry - I didn't pick up on you thinking that he was up in the tree from your earlier post. If you'd like to change your actions feel free.
Hmmm, not sure where I got the idea the giant was 30feet up in a tree. After I went back and read again, I did not see why/how... {puzzled}

Anyway, I edited out the other two posts and this is my IC post for this round.[/sblock]

The giant roars in agony as Heinrich's lightning bolt burns through him, then again as Sol's daring-do gets him all turned around and tripping over his own feet. When his head hits the tree, he shakes it fiercely... and snaps out of his confusion just as Melisande comes rushing around to attack at it's back! Quick as a thought, a massive arm whips around to smash into the warrior-priestess' side with a loud clang. Melisande's armor takes the brunt of the blow, but she feels ribs creak at the force.



[sblock=Combat]Giant makes its Will Save to avoid being Dazed by Sol's attack, takes attack of opportunity (w/ Cestus) at Melisande as she closes (confirms critical hit, doing 40 points of damage).

OOC: Now past my bedtime. Plan is to get the giant's regular initiative actions up tomorrow AM my time.[/sblock]

The giant reaches up to grasp a branch, yanks it free of its tree with contemptuous ease, and begins flailing about with it. He grasps the branch in both hands and swings at Sol, but the dandy girl slips the blow.

Melisande grunted with the impact, taken a bit by surprise. But she used some magic luck from her jingasa to mitigate the worst of it. Then she touched her chest and called upon Helerion for some dive healing. Feeling better, gripped the Holy Falchion with both hands and started slashing and cutting the giant from behind.

“You may surrender now, or you will die evil one!”

As Milasande attacked from one side, the swashbuckling beauty attacked from the other, her scimitar slashing and piercing in different tender parts of the body as the creature reeled from the firey rays of Heinrich. The first blow severed below the giant's knee so badly that its own weight tore clean through the rest of the flesh, bringing the giant down on one knee. The second blow carved into the giant's soft lines, sending them to the ground with a dull thud. As the massive creature bent over in a roar of pain, Solomon's third blow sliced its neck from ear to ear, silencing it protests... She watched with amusement, waiting to see if it would fall or not.
