Name that Pirate Ship!

My soon-to-end current campaign originally revolved around pirates. Here's what few names I remember:

Deathwind (and later Deathwind II)

The Shark (the captain was a seahag (from Creature catalogue))

The Ravage (viking-style longship, with a crew of orc Ravagers)

Anna IV (The captian here was a legend in his own time; the biggest, baddest, meanest, strongest pirate of his age. He was completely bald, but had a big, bushy red beard. Old mariners would -for a glass of grog- tell you tales about him. They'd tell you how he would rip out the still beating heart from a foe's chest and eat it. They'd tell you all the blood that's run down his chin is what has made his beard grow so big and so red. They might even tell you his beard used to be blond... The only thing to suggest he might have a softer side is the fact that he's named all his ships after his childhood girlfriend.)

well, you could always steal from SNL and call it the Raging Queen....

Or, you could take my all time favorite ship name (even though it came from a Cold War era Russian ship)... Bodry

Can't believe no one's said it yet:

The Black Pearl

One that I'm still planning to use with a pirate PC when the time is right:

The First Prize

Well remember that our pirates came from a variety of cultures and languages so you might get some mixed names in there, not that anyone detailed the language of orcs and dwarves and elves or....have they.

For instance a few ships might have a spanish name, german, or french of course these can all be translated

anyway....

The Seeker
Deadmans Chest
The pistol
The Glory of Davey Jones (or insert any famous pirate)
A handfull of silver
The Bound Whore
The Stalwart
The Retribution
The Dungeon
The Will and the Way
The Drowned Priest
The Bishop
The Kings Sword and Shield
The Imperator
The Bloody Grail
The Hunger

Hope this helps but seeing as there is already a ton of names I kind of doubt it

The Seraph of Earth and Stone

This works best if you have a recognizable flagship or something similar that the PC's have encountered repeatedly in the past:

Under New Ownership

etc. etc. Just look through the Monster Manual and you have more Pirate Ship Names than you'll ever use.

You could even make a table. Column A is an adjective or color. Column B is a predator.

Not all are appropriate though. I doubt the "Pink Weasel" will inspire the appropriate fear.
