Brains applies his Psionic Dodge bonus against the spider, shoots a bolt at +1 for 1d6, provokes an AoO, and, if he's still alive, reloads.

The spider misses its attack (rolled 9).

Brains fires again, giving the spider another opportunity in such close quarters. This time the spider manages to pierce Brain's invisible armor, dealing 4 points. Brains fights off the effects of the poison (rolled 13 Fort save). Brains is at 4 HP. Brain's bolt makes the spider fly back like Mama spider being hit by the nail gun in Arachnophobia (rolled natural 19, then 18 on crit roll), dealing 9 points of damage. The spider is at -3 HP and dying.

A wolf lopes into the arena, moving to 5N20E. Go ahead, Brains.

The goblin smiles grimly and he briefly holds a clawed fist up in the air to appease the cheering fans. He locks eyes with the wolf and his eyes flicker again. Brains touches his temple briefly and, for a moment, the arena is filled with a soft hum.

Applying Psionic Dodge bonus to the wolf, then using mind thrust, augmented by 1 point to deal 2d10 damage with a Will save of 15 to negate. Then moving to 0N10E so he's not backed into a corner.

You may not augment, because you can only spend as many power points as your manifester level, which is 1. Also, the save DC goes up by 1 for every additional 2d10.

The wolf yelps at the pain that it does not understand (rolled 11 on Will save),
although it only takes 1 point. It has 12 HP left.
The wolf moves to 0N15E and snaps its jaws at the air (rolled 6).

This time the wolf inflicts some Brains damage (rolled 19), biting for 7 points. Brains is at -3 HP and dying. The wolf is at 0N10E.
