NE vs. N (FFA): Very Young Tarterian Dragon vs. Adult Ethereal Dragon

Realizing that his options of attack have been expended, Shriek makes a run for it.

He uses a move action to get as far from the beetles as possible, then readies another action to move away again when the beetles come within 20 feet.

Shriek is at 30N15E.

Round 331

The beetles manage to chew their way out of the web. They are still at 0N40E.

What's next? Should I time compress Shriek trying to get away, or do you want to tell me his position?

Time compression seems like a good idea. I don't think his actual position is important if he gets away. If he doesn't get away, it's probably less important (to Shriek anyway).

Shriek is one lucky illithidae. He was able to Spot the triangular web (Spot check 23-2=21), and the hole the beetles chewed through. He was able to keep the web between himself and the beetles so that they could not run at him, using the hole to run through to make sure the web was still between them the last round.

A draw is declared at the end of round 334. Neutral Evil cheers that they do not have to face the swarm.

A large cross between a horse and a dragon flies into the arena to 60N60E5Z. It has golden scales on its horse's body, a reptilian tail, dragon wings, and forward curving horns on its draconic head.

Next in round 335 for Neutral Evil is an elhoriad (WoTC Monster Index).

Choranth the elhoriad moves into the arena to 10n25e. Choranth is a blackened skeleton, her eyes such a deep shade of inky blade that they stand out even against her ebony bones. Choranth will hold the longsword in one hand (not two like the stat block has it) and take attacks of opportunity (if any) with her natural weapon. Her plan is to fight with full attacks with longsword and claw.

Choranth does not see the web, but knows it is there somewhere from observing prior battles.

Round 336

Equidrag lands and trots over to 40N30E.

"Uh oh."

Choranth wishes her boss were here to help. She mumbles a quick prayer to the Dark Lord of Oblivion and charges to 35n25e and attacks with a claw with full power attack. She will then full attack with no power attack, so time compression may be in order.

Time compression on. Equidrag is a victim of using the back table for CR instead of his stat block. He is in over his head here.

Equidrag tries to bite Choranth on approach, and does (rolled 19), chomping down for 11 points of damage. Choranth has 21 HP remaining.

Choranth barely touches Equidrag (rolled 11+2-2=11), but cannot penetrate its scales.

Round 337

Equidrag misses with claws and bite (best roll 11).
Choranth hits with sword for 5. Equidrag has 40 HP remaining.

Round 338: Equidrag bites for 13. Choranth at 8 HP.
Choranth hits with sword for 7. Equidrag at 33 HP.

Round 339: Equidrag bites for 10. Choranth is destroyed.
Equidrag is at 40N30E, with 33 HP remaining.

Next in round 339 for Neutral Evil is a grell (Lords of Madness). I will need the stats to be E-mailed to me, or I can E-mail the dragonnel stats to Gansk.

An alien entity whose body appears to consist primarily of a large, slimy, wrinkled brain hovers into the arena. It has no visible eyes; a large curving beak is the thing's only facial feature. Ten barbed, rubbery tentacles hang below its bulbous body, and one of them is wrapped around a smooth, silver, staff-like item. The grell stops moving and hovers in place, then raises the rod and points it at Equidrag, and a ray of crackling electricity makes its way down the shaft and arcs towards the dragonnel.

Coming out at 40N0E.

The lightning lance is a ranged touch attack at +5 for 3d6 points of electricity damage, 60 foot range, 5 charges.
