NE vs. N (FFA): Very Young Tarterian Dragon vs. Adult Ethereal Dragon

It is actually a ten-foot cube, as changed in the Fiend Folio errata.
Odd. I didn't see any Fiend Folio errata on the WotC errata page.

A man-sized, greenish apelike creature charges into the arena to 60n55e and attacks Mr. Dragon with a cleaver. With no other abilities usable in the arena, Dr. Bruce Banner would like to have his short stay further shortened by time compression.

Round 707

As Bruce approaches, Mr. Dragon bites him for 8 points of damage. Bruce's cleaver glances off Mr. Dragon's pearly scales (rolled 17+2=19).

Mr. Dragon hits Bruce with all six attacks, for a total of 41 points of damage. Bruce at 16 HP.

Round 708: Bruce hits once, but inflicts no damage.
Mr. Dragon hits six times again, inflicting 50 points of damage. Bruce is dead. He should have gotten more angry. Mr. Dragon has 157 HP, and is at 60N60E.

First in round 709 for Neutral Evil is an ice gaunt (Frostburn). Sounds chilling.

An aged, wrinkled human wearing weather-beaten furs trundles into the arena to 60n25e. He pulls out a sponge and a drop of water and casts numbing sphere at 60n60e.

Ah.

[sblock] Numbing Sphere
Pretty much like flaming sphere, but causes 1d6 cold and 1d4 Dex (reflex save DC 14 negates both). Last 1 round per level. The sphere can be destroyed; it has 10hp and DR 5/-. [/sblock] [sblock] Icegaunt

Con Drain (Su) - DC 16 Fort or take 1d4 Con drain. "On each successful drain, the icegaunt gains 5 temp hp."

1 - conjure ice beast, detect snares and pits, longstrider, obscuring mist
2 - chill metal, fog cloud, numbing sphere
3 - column of ice [/sblock]

I E-mailed the stats for Mr. Dragon to Gansk, if he were ready first.

Round 709

Mr. Dragon ignores the numbing sphere (CL check 16).

Mr. Dragon trots to 60N30E, bobs and weaves, and bites the icy creature for 10 points of damage. It has 58 HP remaining.

The ice guy casts defensively and (if successful) a column of ice 10ft in radius (originating at 60n30e) erupts out of the ground, propelling both the ice guy and the dragon 25ft high.
[sblock] cokumn of ice (conjuration (creation) [cold])
casting time 1 std action
effect: one column of ice 10ft radius 5ft/level in height
range close
duration permanent
save: reflex negates
SR: no

description as above, plus creatures making the reflex save can choose to avoid the column (ice guy does not choose so). Moving or fighting atop the column requires a DC 10 balance check or fall prone and must immediately succeed on a DC 12 reflex save or slip off, taking commensurate falling damage. It also says: Magical Ice Column: 10ft thick, hardness 16, hp160, break DC 90, climb DC 30. [/sblock]

Round 710

Ice Guy gets the spell off (30 Concentration check). Mr. Dragon goes along for the ride (14 Ref save).

Mr. Dragon successfully squeezes into 60N30E and 60N35E, and breathes at Ice Guy. Ice Guy does not dodge the blast of force (14 Ref save) and takes 41 points of damage. Ice Guy has 17 HP remaining.
