Necromancer Q&A: Let's ask Orcus some questions!

Its not exactly on the top of our priority list, but I will see what we can do.

My thought is to just do a totally stripped no art version as a 3.5 revision of Tome1 (which, frankly, some people could just use as it is) and also have it serve as kind of a mini-Tome1 SRD.

Clark

Clark,

I do not think that I am alone in stating that I would buy a revised TOH-I (3.5) even if it were to cost more than the original. I find it to be one of the more valuable books on my shelf. :D

Thanks!

That would be fine by me; I have the ToH, and I don't think any art was invalidated by the 3e->3.5e switch...

I'd also like to second (third?) the request for a non-DRM version.

A Tome1 SRD would be awesome.

Submissions?

Mr. Demon Prince, Sir? :uhoh:

I was wondering, <um>, are you <um>, currently <squeak!> considering submissions? :heh:

Just wondering since I sent a rather large adventure about a month ago but then saw somewhere that you were full up through 2006.

Will

They just mean their product sales schedule is full through 2006. They still need things for 2007 and beyond. The fact that you sent it in a month ago just means, if they publish it, that it might make it onto the 2007 release schedule. Or 2008. Or 2009.

Will,
Necromancer Games will consider submissions. Our production schedule is pretty full right now, but this does not mean we won't take new submissions. What it does mean is that you probably won't see your adventure/book in print until 2006 or 2007.

If you aren't a published freelancer we'll want to see the entire thing before saying "yes" or "no." We have simply had so many people fail to complete work that we can't say "yes" to someone and put something on the schedule unless we are positive it'll be ready on time.

If you haven't received a reply on the manuscript you sent in please double check which address you sent it to. Sometimes email comes in floods and messages can get lost. Bill and Clark do their best to respond quickly, but you still need to give them 4-6 weeks to read something over.

Thanks,
Patrick Lawinger

Got it. Thanks guys!

I submitted the entire manuscript, so I guess I'm ok in that department.

Understandable. After I saw how full your schedule was I just wanted to make sure that you weren't currently closed to submissions. Thanks again!

Submissions

Patrick,

I sent the completed manuscript in late October to clark@necromancergames.com, and more recently a follow-up note, but have not yet received any word. Might the manuscript have gotten lost, and if so, should I resubmit to this address or another? Thanks for your help and consideration.

Will
