Need help understanding how Diaglo is still posting on this board

Hey DarkMaster if you are really upset at Diaglo's continuous repetition of "OD&D only true game, all other thing inferior imitations", I suggest you begin a new trend on these boards. That trend would be of adding into one's sig "Diaglo's love of d20 knows no limits!" (or "diaglo's loev of d02 know no limit'" if you are a purist). :p

(Well, I hope this suggestion isn't offensive.)

If you have a concern, please report the (or a) post or e-mail a moderator. (If it's about the conduct of a specific poster, please don't start a thread about it on the boards, not even in Meta. It's fine to report spamming in Meta, though.)

Also, if someone consistently grates on your nerves, you can put him on your ignore list, which filters out his posts. (But you are always given the option to read a specific ignored post.)
You can find the appropriate link in a user's profile. Here's a direct link for diaglo: Add diaglo to your Ignore List.
BTW, diaglo apparently makes as lot of use of his ignore list as well so ignore-listing him wouldn't be unfair. :)

Anyway, this should be discussed with a moderator, not on the boards. I'd recommend contacting Piratecat, as he likely can explain diaglo better than I can.
I'll close this now.

As Darkness said, this is the sort of question best asked over email. Nevertheless, I'd like to comment.

We talk to people when they're being rude or insulting to other folks. About 90% of "problem posters" are spoken to by moderators via email or PM, not in public. As a result, you'll seldom see public rebukes unless other methods have failed. Don't use public slapdowns as a metric for whether or not moderation is occurring.

I don't have the same love for OD&D that Diaglo has, but despite the repetition many of his other posts are both interesting and helpful to other people. He's also been an active and involved member of this site for years. A lot of people notice the repetitious OD&D mantra because it grates, but they miss the interesting and imaginative suggestions he makes in other threads. I think that breeds some frustration from folks who only see part of the picture.

Like any other member, someone like Diaglo would be spoken to if a conversation becomes rude. Luckily, such conversations - for anyone, not just Diaglo - are amazingly infrequent for a board this size. I love our members. :D
