need spam cleanup

I'm really loathe to do any moderation, as it's not in my scope, but, that porn one couldn't stay another 10 seconds.

Agreed.

I wonder if there might need to be another level of "moderator" -- not to stop fights, etc, but just a "spam cleanup crew" that can do "soft deletes" in the most spammed forums (like Off Topic)... There are lots of high-post community members who might be willing to take out the trash...

And/or ... maybe there is a technial way to limit brand new members (0 posts) to at least not being able to include pictures and/or links in their earliest posts...

I emailed Russ. I really don't want to moderate, but I did. Those porn pics were like all that.....had to go now.

I killed the ad spam block posts as well.....

I THINK they are either testing or now have a method to slow down the registration process, where a registrant must answer a question, or one of those control image thingy's... I'm not sure.....

I DO believe Russ won't shoot me tho....for the thread deletion.....
