D&D 5E Need suggestions for Uthgardt Shaman 5e

Leatherhead

Possibly a Idiot.
Trying to figure out how to fit a Brontosaurus into your character is just asking for trouble. :p

Aside from the obvious Totem Warrior Barbarian, you could go Bard. Valor for a more barbarian feel. Though Lore is an excellent pick for someone looking into a lost tribe.

Before they were lost, the Thunderbeasts were considered to be the "most civilized" of the tribes, so having a Bard act as a storyteller-shaman would fit. Just convince the DM you are doing the oration thing instead of playing an instrument, it should be fine with most of them. Heck, even an instrument isn't out of line for a shaman.

You can pick up virtually any spell you need to in order to make the theme fit, from healing, to divination, talking with animals or the dead, thunder damage and weather effects if you really want them. And you can get expertise in any skill you want, like survival or athletics, which is good for the greater degree of self-sufficiency such a character would demand.
