Issue #3 really hit me hard. I felt something at the death of Queen Elizabeth I at the "hands" of Dr. Doom that I don't know that I would have felt if Queen Elizabeth II were assassinated. Gaiman just amazes me with how he can make those Marvel iconics live in the Elizabethan Age. I love Sir Nicholaus Fury, and am amused at how Peter Parquah keeps ALMOST getting bitten by a spider. I am awaiting the introduction of the Fantastic Four!

What an amazing series. I honestly don't think anyone except Gaiman could pull it off without it being totally ridiculous. Personally, my two favorites are Rojhaz and the 1602 version of Daredevil (whose exact name I can't remember). My only real complaint is it seems like the mutant/Witchbreed storyline is a bit forced, and the X-Men in costume made me cringe. It almost feels like Gaiman felt obliged to put them in.
