NeMoren's Vault

Eseteru chuckles, "I've had lots of experience standing watch."

He leans casually in the doorway, so that both the hall and the room are visible to him.

Hawk turns, suprised at hearing the name of his people in this place so far from home.

Yes, yes I am. How is it that you know of us? Have you traveled north and been to the lands where we live?

"Anyone feel like lopping off a finger to test Persephone's idea?" Anna asks mischievously. She strolls over to the pool, dabbling her fingers in the water. "Bit of a dip in the middle. Do you think a fountain or something went in there?" She shakes the water off her fingers, and examines one of the trees.

"Very classy vault, this. You would have thought that the NeMorens' might have some of this stuff on display, rather than leaving it all down here." She makes her way over to the eastern tapestry, peering at the faces of the elves. "So, any guesses as to what the box is?" She taps her finger on the tapestry. "Or this rather nice ring?" She adds, now tapping on the ring. "Maybe it's an engagement ring from the elven princess?" She points to the woman in the north tapestry.

Persephone

“All true life results from two components – Light & Water.”

"That must mean something." Persephone wets her hand in the pool, then places her hand in the indentation.

If nothing happens, "We should keep moving. Perhaps this room will make more sense in time."

Ton spends time examining the room, especially the imprint of the disfigured hand and the surrounding stone. When Tons hand fits within the imprint the stone glows just as before, but he notices nothing more. He cannot see any grooves in the stone where a compartment might open.

Persephone cannot touch both the imprint and have her hand in the pool, but she does notice the indentation in the bottom of the pool looks like a half of a sphere.

Ton just realized that Hawk found an actual brass ring hanging around the statue's neck (right?). He takes the leather band off the statue and examines the ring. Out of curiousity, he will put it on and place his hand in the imprint again.

Uh.. that water looks kinda gross. But is anyone interested in checking out that depression in the pool?"
"Might as well, I guess." Anna rolls up the sleeves on her shirt, and puts her hands into the water, pressing down on the depression.
