New and interesting races

I am looking for any new races that other people thought up, I could use some interesting new ideas. Of course I could invent my own races but I am really interested in seeing what others have thought up. Any new race is good but in my current campaign i was wanting some kind of small race (not halfling or gnomes) for a certain hidden village of 'little people' that is in grave danger of utter destruction. Something non-combat orientedand weaker than most races.

But don't keep it focuse on just 'little folk', I would like to see as many new races as people have to share.

The keradinn are thoroughly evil humanoids who dwell in the desert. Basically, they were sent to the material plane to destroy a great elven civilization and were very successful in doing so. You can also find out more about them here.

Living EN World has the Mountain Goblin, could easily fit the roll you are looking for, as they are generaly not evil but tend to be attacked anyway since most people think Goblin = bad. I thought it was a cool race.

I like the Frey from Oathbound too, though I get rid of their strange racial sneak attack power (They can add either 1d4 to damage once per level per day, or 1d4/level once per day), which I think makes them a bit too powerful for an EL=0 race. Instead of being the large "Cat People", they're more like smaller "House Cats who can talk, stand, and use tools" with some fairly well through out bonuses to atributes and skills.
