Personally I'd rather bring back the lady cop from the 1st season. She's had some potential. Or better yet Lilah old buddy that left Wolfram and Hart.

I think her name was Kate. I wouldn't mind if she came back, but I guess she's too busy on Law and Order.

I was glad the police angle died because it would of added a lot of complexity to the show that would not be easily explained. If the police were routinely involved in Angels cases, they would eventually bring him in or he would be wanted. Now, since police are not involved, we can pretend they do not notice the mass destruction, death, and demon bodies.
