Methinks Henry is right. Two things you had to know to understand that:

1) Joss has said that one or two of the Buffy crew could end up moving over to Angel if this is the last season of Buffy. I'd think Xander and Willow would be the prime candidates.

2) Alyson Hannigan, who plays Willow, is dating the guy who plays Wesley, in real life.

He asked her to marry him over the holidays! :)

She either said yes or no.:) Seriously, it would be cool to see Willow, as well as Spike, on Angel because she's my favorite character on Buffy. I DO NOT want to see Xander come with them :(

But Xander would be the best choice, history with Angel, history with Cordy! Oh the triangles. Plus the show need a bit of humor and Xander can give it that.

I'd say Xander is the most obvious choice of the three mentioned so far (Xander, Willow, Spike) because he has no counterpart on Angel.

Willow's role of expert on magic and arcane matters is played by Wesley, and her character of the cute, innocent, brainy girl is played by Fred. Granted, Willow is a far more accomplished spellcaster than Wesley, but there still isn't a clear niche for Willow to fill on the show.

And Spike has no reason to hang out with Angel's gang. His reasons for hanging out with Buffy's crew is already pretty weak. Some might say that adding Spike to the show might take away from Angel's uniqueness. Oh, so we have another vampire with a soul on the team now?

The closest counterpart to Xander was Doyle, who was replaced by Wesley long ago. Doyle was the "everyman" of the show, despite his demonic heritage. The closest thing we have to that on the show is Gunn, but Gunn and Xander have little in common. So Xander could be added to the show without taking away from any of the current cast.

I still miss Doyle, but the green louge lizard has really grown on me. I think I read the actor who played Doyle died (After he quit).

Personally, I would not want any of the "Buffy" crew to switch over to Angel, as I really like the mood of the show. But, I also thought, "Why the hell bring dingy Cordy to a new show?" and Cordy has been great.

I don't know anything about his current state of being, but I do know he didn't quit. It was Joss' intention from the beginning to kill Doyle off when he did. I recall him being mad when that piece of info leakes.

Yes, the actor who played Doyle died last month.

no cause of death has been released - the family is keeping it private - but the two most prevalent rumors are drug OD, or heart problems. He had a known prior history of heroin addiction, but it is unknown if his death was directly or indirectly related to this.
