If there's one request I have for a new D&D movie, it's that they get things right. Like having dragons that talk, for example. Or Beholders that do more than float.
I do recall hearing something about clerics being in the (at that point hypothetical) next movie. Which would be good, because Snails was probably the best thing about it, and a handy Raise Dead would be, well, handy. It could also go horribly wrong, of course. I don't know whether a polytheistic approach would even be considered for a mainstream film, which leads me to think they'll probably try for some mystical equivalent of the Force or something. But I could be wrong.
Oh, and I refuse to call anyone in the movie a dark elf unless their hair is silver and their skin looks like ash.
I'll go see it, I guess. Some people say that Joel Schumacher made some good movies in his time... I haven't seen them, but there's hope for anyone.
