New Divine Might [WOTC boards]

Mmmmm......cake.

Remember that only a human, half-elf or dwarf would be happy with a Fighter x/Cleric 1 multiclass.

Frankly I think the feat is fine. It does illustrate the lack of variety of high level fighter feats. A few more decent high level fighter feats then this (and all it requires) looks much less appealing.

That and that the cleric is serious munch. Druids need to keep taking levels to get most of the cheese there. Stupid domains.

Both questionable assertions since you're assuming something that is not usually the case--namely that we're dealing with single class characters.

Paladins with specialization?
Ftr 4/Pal X
Pal 6/Templar X
Etc.

Fighters with Divine Might
Ftr 4/Clr 4
Ftr X/Pal 3
Etc.

If one of my characters survives long enough, I intend for her to have both weapons specialization AND Divine Might so the head to head comparison is directly applicable to her. (Many would consider the character a munchkin build as a Ftr 2/Clr 2/Mnk 2/Pal 3/Templar 10 however there are plenty of less heavily multiclassed would be similarly capable of benefitting from both feats.)

Of course, paladins can't get specialization, and fighters can't get Divine Might, so the comparison between the two doesn't really amount to all that much, does it?

I'm going to play a blackguard (aasimar Ftr4/Rog3/Blk7) now since my fey'ri will leave the party (for several reasons. Heck, practically for all the reasons: Skillmonger char in a game where this is casting pearls before swine, having to put up with vermin like grey and wood elves, and having a lunatic in the party that just isn't healthy). He will have both.
