Let me explain:

'with a single attack' means it follows the rules of multiple attacks with single attack, ie only the first one to hit gains bonus damage.

'no more than 30 feet apart' is a common limiter in D&D whereas measuring degrees is not.

Youre right about the use of degrees, it dose over complicate. Though I don't think within 30 feet is sutible. they could shoot enemys on oposite sides of themself. Perhaps limiting it to a cone like area? That's a little wider than I thought it should be, but within reason.

By the way theres double shot from what was it. Its doing what your trying to do but it alows you to shot two arrows in one attack with know pelty gust you can do it once around.
