hello all, i am a player looking for a game. the things i like in a D&D 3.5 game are as follows:

-i like being able to use lots of books. if you do not have a book that i have, i will find a way to help you get it. (most of my books are electronic)
-i am new to play-by-post
-variants are my bread and butter. rarely do i make a character without some sort of variant, plain core just bores me.
-a virtual tabletop would be nice, i have downloaded the RPTools one.
-i have no problem playing long sessions, and the average frequency i am accustomed to playing is once per week, usually 8-10 hours but i will change my schedule to adhere to yours if it is at all feasible for me.

basically, i like to make a character and go with it. i prefer campaigns that start around lv10, but i do not mind starting lower if you are planning to take it to higher levels. i like campaigns that have story AND combat. i am a bit of a power player (only a little) but if a power player will not fit into your group then i have no problem toning it back as long as i can play a character i like. if you dont want me to power play then i will try a character idea that i havent tried before or one that interests me despite its lack of power. in a nutshell, i want room to breathe when it comes to the character building process, i like to be able to pick feats, PrC's, items, etc. from many different books to get just the flavor i want. above all i am flexible and available. contact me @ yearofthetiger1987@yahoo.com

character ideas i am looking at playing:

earth dreamer (Races of Stone)
malconvoker (Complete Scoundrel)
Swashbuckler/Rogue (Complete Warrior/PHB)
Vampire Swordsage (Tome of Battle)
Vampire anything (non-spellcaster), really.

I am a player looking for a game, preferably Ravenloft, and preferably something with plot, or a mystery for the players to figure out. (Yey plot with my death-dealing!)

I've never played PbP before, but I've done RPing through a similar format, so it's not entirely foreign to me.

questbreaker, Kendarath:

If you prefer a certain type of game but are still able to find a game that you would be okay with playing, just try to post to those games. Players advertising the type of game they're looking for has never been very effective here, so if you find something you'd enjoy playing even though it's not your preferred game, I recommend you stick with it. Players posting here is for people who can't find anything they like, as a last ditch effort.

Also, this thread isn't for looking for non-PbP games. If that's more your speed, there are other places where you'd get more visibility for your request. And, as I said in the original post, finding a PbP game above 8th or 10th level is very difficult and is relatively not very easy to run as a GM. And, as I also said in the original post, don't expect to be directly contacted for recruitment through this thread (it's often considered a bad idea to post your email address directly on a public message board anyways; you usually want to at least put a "(at)" instead of the @ or something).

Red Hand of Doom 6E

D&D 6E Scared Lands
The Red Hand of Doom
Disscussion

Recruiting till... I have enough to start. I normally aim for 6 PCs, but that's not set in stone.

Full ATM.
