New Greyhawk Hardcover

See, I (selfishly) want the opposite. I've got just about every Greyhawk product ever published, aside from a couple of the non-canon modules and some magazine articles. The Living Greyhawk Gazetteer is a already a solid foundation for a GH campaign (and would be perfect for C&C players). I'd like to see some of the best 3E concepts applied with full force to Greyhawk lore, as well as a consolidation of the best crunchy bits from the Living Greyhawk Journal, Dragon and Dungeon.

Admittedly, a new campaign guidebook would the way to go if they're seeking to grow the Greyhawk audience and not just cater to those of us that already have everything. I guess I have to realize that not everyone out there has easy access to the background info and may not be as interested in crunchy at-the-table bits as me.

Your idea would probably sell a lot better than what I'm talking about. And as you said, I have enough statless setting material so that I don't really need anymore. But I'd buy a new CS just to support the line and see what they do with it. I"d really like a suppliment on the Free City of Greyhawk.

Any idea when we'll know more about your next project, Erik?

As soon as Wizards of the Coast decides to announce it, and not a second before that.

Sorry!

4th Edition is coming in 2008. Erik will be involved in this process. Monster Manual guy? Stay tuned. ;-)

WOTC isn't going to do a Greyhawk hardcover. There's too many problems with getting the material from Living Greyhawk in and it seems to me they have ZERO interest in Greyhawk as a hardback cause Eberron is the new toy for WOTC. Besides 4th edition will be announced at GenCon Indy for 2008 :P

Oddy,

See the above Erik posting.

Gly,

I think maybe I need to pull out my "Greyhawk is Dead!" boomstick... ;)
So is Scarred Lands. In fact it's more dead because it doesn't even have the RPGA doing anything with it.

No, it's more dead because it's not the default setting for the D&D Game. That's not Corean you see in the PHB, that's Pelor.
