New Narnia trailer

Man, I want to see this movie.

And please, please, please...

Someone tell me the name and the source of the pieces of music--particularly the pieces with the Latin(?) singing--used in both these trailers? Please? I'd kill to have it as an MP3 or on CD.

Well, that rawks. Movie should be great -- looks like they did a real number on the talking animal special effects.

The wife and I have been listening to the original books on CD. I had little memory of them from my original reading 25 years ago. They make a lot more sense when read in chronological, rather than publication order.

Isn't that the truth?! I'm reading the books right now and realized that I actually never read The Magicians Nephew when I was young. What a great series of books. :D

I have to disagree with the order preference, and I've read the series both ways. When you read them in chronological order, while some things may make more sense, the stories lose some of the sense of wonder that is in them if read in the written order. Read in chroonological order, you know many of the surprises that are revealed in other books.

But that's just my preference.

Can you just go here and click on the "View X-Large Trailer" link?

This page doesn't seem to make me download anything.

Quick note though: when I tried viewing the page in Netscape, it didn't load properly and asked me if I wanted to set up some kind of email account or something. It seems to work fine in IE though. Don't know about any of the other browsers, and I don't really care either.

Agreed. In original publication order, you get Mystery --> Answer (for example -- "where did the lamp post come from" is set up in Lion, Witch, Wardrobe; and answered in Magician's Nephew). In chronological order, you get Answer --> Mystery (in the sense that it's a mystery to the characters but not to the reader), which to me is less satisfying.
