Pssshhhh... A typo in the table in the woodland stride ability. Wondre whether that is/will be in the book as well (can't see why thy wouldn't just cut and paste after all).

...it is? Don't see it at all. It isn't rounded that much...and hell, I DRAW stuff that's too anime-ish. That looks very far from anime/manga style...much more realistic...much more like I keep trying to force my brain to allow my hand to do...

His earlier stuff was okay, but I agree that the newer stuff is incredibly boring. Especially the "Hello. I am a Titan" picture in the MM.

Ahhhh...I can...kind of see it. Looks a lot more 'realistic fantasy'ish that animeish to me though...maybe that's just because I'm stuck on one of the spectrum. Its amazingly hard to switch style's once you've learned with one...guess that's why I don't usually get mad about 'bad' art in D&D books.

Wow...looks like a Nymph should look like...but I love that Dryad so much...it actually blends into the tree!

I agree -- the dryad illo rocks. She's sexy, but also angry and wooden. Very appropriate.

On a related note... Is it just me, or does Larry Elmore seem to have a fixation with 1980s hairstyles whenever he draws women?

And another thing. If Nymphs have Charisma 18, this would imply that a creature with CHA 19+ could possible be more beautiful, which brings about the question: If you're hotter than a nymph, should you get the same kill-on-sight ability?

Nah.

As always, Charisma =/= beauty

A character with Charisma 19 might be as ugly as, say, the Red Skull or the Phantom of the Opera.

Yep, I agree. Her face looks more alien and fey than the old one, but I HATE the ears. Reminds me too much of Tony DiTerlizzi's work.
