New Sword & Sorcery Quarterly

So...what do you call it then when, while they don't do their own material any more, they still distribute? I mean that's what S&SS was about BEFORE Scarred Lands got ramped up.
You have to distinguish between Sword & Sorcery, White Wolf's publishing house for RPG material that doesn't fit their WoD/Exalted universe, like their pre-publisher for high risk material, Arthaus, or independent companies that make pre-publishing on their own, like Necromancer, Malhavoc or Goodman, and White Wolf's development department for d20 games, Sword & Sorcery Studios. The latter have been dissolved.

Ifby dissolved you mean eliminated, then will future D20 books bear the White Wolf logo instead of the SSS label?
Let's see. Maybe, they reuse the label for stuff from outside, like the Goodman Games books. Did anyone ever see those?

Uh, nope. Scarred Lands are gone, but Sword & Sorcery as an entity still exists.
I never said the opposite :). But it may well be that Monte Cook spoke rubbish when he explained the difference between those two entities in a magazine. Does any book from Sword & Sorcery still bear the S&SS logo?

Edit: Or Monte told the truth and they just re-organized the sections, because everyone was mixing them up anyway.

*still refuses to believe SL is truly gone* Until I'm dead, then it's not dead.

Coln,

Eh I was more amped about the World of Warcraft stuff but then that's me.

I'm more amped about the stuff coming out in '06. I see some big book of spells/magic for Arcana Evolved with a big price tag. Hope it's not Grimoire II in print and updated again.

That is what I thought. Thanks for confirming Mouseferatu.
Here just the quote of abovementioned source, the Monte Cook interview in the "d20 filtered" magazine #1 from last year:

"(A nitpicky point. We’re an imprint of Sword & Sorcery, not Sword & Sorcery Studios. S&S is the combined network of Necromancer, Arthaus, us, and S&SS. I know that’s confusing, but S&SS are the guys who make Scarred Lands products, Creature Collection, Relics and Rituals, and so on. Sword & Sorcery [without the ”Studios”] is all of us together.)"

Of course, this distinction may be void, now with those product lines gone. I just noticed that I haven't seen the SSS logo for ages :).

I was already aware of that, thank you.
