New Weapon & Amor add-on: Wandbearing

First Post
I made this awhile back for a campaign my friends and I were playing in. We didn't really flesh it out much, just added on a couple gold to the price of an item and kept playing. Looking back, it probably wasn't balanced as it was, but I like the new version much more. Opinions are welcome.

Wandbearing
A weapon or piece of armor built with this enhancement has a thin hollow area sized to fit a wand. The wielder or wearer of such an item is considered to be holding the wand when he is wielding the weapon or wearing the armor, and can use the wand normally. Removing or stowing a wand in a weapon with the Wand Bearing property is a move action, while removing or stowing a wand in a suit of armor is a standard action.

The Wandbearing enhancement may only be added on to a weapon or shield once, and to a piece of armor twice.

Caster Level: 9th; Prerequisites: Craft Magic Arms and Armor, secret chest. Market Price: +6,000gp (+18,000gp for the second enhancement in armor).

Hmmm... interesting, but what happens if the weapon or armor gets destroyed ? does the wand blow you at your face ?

I would probably just rule a straight percentage chance of the wand being destroyed as a part of the item it was attached to. Since there's really no explicit effect when breaking a wand, I would simply have it sundered and made into a broken, non-magical stick.

I want this type of armor with multiple wand slots please, is that a possibilty or not? I would just like to note, also, that I can picture a suit of Full Plate armor with these slots in them, and it looks cool as hell.

I don't think allowing multiple wands should be added to weapons, but perhaps allowing armor to have multiple based on the type of armor. For example, Light = 1, Medium = 2, Heavy = 3, Shield = 1. I would definitely have a higher progression for the additional wands. Something like 6k for the first, ~15-18k for the second, then ~30k for the third. Considering the wizard crafting the armor effectively has to imbue the *whole* suit of armor with some sort of arcane "conductivity" or some such to allow the wands to successfully be used.

I'm on the fence as to whether or not this would balance, though. My original view of the add-on only included one, and I originally considered (very briefly) and rejected the idea of multiple wand slots. If others think it wouldn't be too broken, I may be persuaded to add the option of more slots. I'm still in the air on it.
