Welcome to ENworld. IMO the only way not to play DnD right is if you are not having fun.

If you are looking for an online game, I would suggest the PBP forums. That's Play-By-Post, and my understanding is that there are some good games in there.

Otherwise, look around, find some threads to read and comment on and join in our little community.

Welcome to the forums, Kidfierce! First question, are you at all familiar with the basics of the D&D rules? By your account, I'm guessing you don't have a lot - if so, it would be helpful to read and familiarize yourself with the rules in the Player's Handbook, and ask questions here if you run into problems.

After that, check our Play-by-post Forums here. There are always helpful folks looking to start new games to play!
