I assume Frosty is manifested, otherwise the missiles are useless unless X-Y is also ethereal.

X-Y does not seem to have spell resistance, because it does not resist the two missiles. They inflict 7 points of damage. X-Y has 16 HP remaining.

Round 289: X-Y dives down to 60N20E20Z. X-Y has seen much stranger whence it is from, so it is not horrified by Frosty's appearance (rolled 17 Fort save).

Two missiles hit for 7 points of damage. X-Y has 9 HP remaining.

Round 290: X-Y moves to 60N15E20Z and touches Frosty two out of four attempts (best missing 14, worst hitting 17) for 10 points of incorporeal and 13 points of fire damage. Frosty is destroyed.

Next in round 290 for Neutral Good is an unbodied (Expanded Psionics Handbook). You have another chance with an incorporeal creature, Neutral Good.

Do non-Force magical effects from an incorporeal being have a miss chance? In other words, would an psi-attack by Jack the Bodiless be from an "incorporeal source?"

That is a good question, and one I have been thinking about. I am not sure of the answer, but I will rule that in battles between incorporeals, they can affect each other fully. Maybe their incorporealness gives them an insight into how to harm other incorporeal creatures.

Energy push is a ray? I didn't remember that. A save and an attack roll. How bogus is that? At least it can crit, then.

Anyway, Jack floats upward to 30Z and fires another one.

Jack hits this time (rolled 24). X-Y takes full damage (rolled 11 Fort save vs. DC 15), which is 7 points of cold damage, but does not get pushed back. X-Y has 2 HP remaining, and Jack has 15 PP.

Round 292: X-Y moves to 5N15E20Z and hits Jack with a ray (rolled 20 ranged touch) for 3 points of fire damage. Jack has 19 HP remaining.
