NG vs. N: Neutral Good Victorious!

OOC: Yes, both horns are on the ground.

Remember from the Player's Handbook that if Autumn and Greyshadow get more than 5 feet apart, the bull's strength goes away on Greyshadow, and does not return, even if Greyshadow gets close to Autumn again. Also remember that Autumn can spontaneously cast summon nature's ally spells by trading in prepared spells.

Autumn recognizes it as a bonespear, and knows that its horns are poisonous.

Round 557

The bonespear reels in one of its horns, so that it is attached to its head again, then it backs up to 60N45E. Autumn and Greyshadow are next in round 557.

OOC: Thanks for the clarification. Any objection if I move the Bull's Strength to being on Greyshadow then, rather than Autumn?

OOC: Thanks.

Autumn raises her hands in a gesture of calling, and a Polar Bear appears behind the boney grasshopper and attacks. Greyshadow charges to the attack as well!

Autumn: Convert Baleful Polymorph to Summon Nature's Ally V, summoning Peter the Polar Bear into existence at 60N55E.
Peter: Full Attack, seeking to use Improved Grab if a claw hits.
Greyshadow: Charge boney! (note flanking bonus)

OOC: Yep, it's a full round action. I'd didn't designate her as doing anything other than the spellcasting... did I miss something else?

Without rapid spell (and I don't have the book on hand), it's a full round spell, meaning the polar bear doesn't show up until the beginning of next round. :)

OOC: Ah, gotcha! I understand now.

Okay, continue with as before, except that Greyshadow will hold his ground with a readied attack action if the bonespear comes forward.

Round 558

The bonespear reels in its other horn, then steps up to 60N40E. It heals up to 43 HP (I forgot last round).

Peter appears, takes a step to 60N50E, then tries to maul the bonespear, but cannot penetrate its carapace (best roll 26).

What do Autumn and Greyshadow do this round?

OOC: Might as well mention it here as I'm not sure you realize it, but one significant change from 3.0 to 3.5 was that you don't have to decide all the parameters of the spell until after you cast it. So, the polar bear's location need not have been specified until the spell was completed. This time it only required a 5ft-step, so no big deal, but Autumn could have change the location depending on the bone-dude's movement. :)
