OOC: The gate is further down the road, unless you actualy continued that far, but you don't see anyone showing one or any guards at the gate.

(OOC: Bah, no clues again then. They could be anywhere, apparently even the other direction entirely after your mysterious comment on the bandit's info :()

(OOC: You didn't mention the water--Lasair definitely won't recognise a port, but if there's a significant body of water, she'll probably go stare at it and maybe skip stones to prove to herself it isn't a mirage  )

OOC: it's still farther off, you can't see the water yet, I just said it looks like a port, and Troi saw things bobbing ;)

Wil muses aloud, giving his ideas to his comrades to use or refuse. "This kidnapper may well be associated with the baron. But this appears to be a port city. People come and go here all the time, so there'll be few that remember our quarry even if they saw them. Furthermore, they could have used one of the ships to leave.

Mayhap we should pursue our questionings there? Or seek someone more likely to know the comings and goings of odd folk? if there be a temple here, we could have a divination performed for us to help show the path... though no one specific ritual comes to thought"

"Well, I suggested a divination earlier, but they said they tried the priests first, so I guess that means there aren't any who are good enough to get it done. Hmm, what's a port?"

"A Port?" Wil is puzzled by Lesair's question, having forgotten her origins. "It is a place where ships from afar stop to unload and take on passengers and cargo, my lady"

"Oh yes, of course: the Prayer of Divination! But if such a path has already been tried then it does us nothing. 'Pity, since a good reading would've pointed us toward the right direction"

"Ships?" Lasair asks curiously, "You know, I bet if we can find some sort of seer who can perform auguries, we can just keep asking 'Should we look for Niobe in X place' and see if it says weal or woe."
