Niobe's Dilemma (Manzanita Judging)

OOC: I'll wait for the others to chime in on your plan.

The Barron's Champion looks like it once was a fine estabilishment, but it appears run down now. For a tavern with an inn, the building looks strangely small.
(OOC: Sure--and did you see my question about initiative?)

(OOC: Can we roll initiative after he spotted us? If Lasair somehow wins, the horse could canter 120 feet or gallop 240 feet and she can have a chance at one power)
OOC: Sorry, he's too fast for you. He actualy spotted you before you spotted him.

(OOC: Ah, unfortunate--the text kind of seemed like Troi pointed him out before he saw us, but if we failed out Spot, what can we do? I'm surprised a swordsman who likely isn't trained in Spot or pumping Wisdom had a better spot than our Ranger buddy, though. This guy is hardcore :D)

OOC: He's cautious, not just a fighter, and it was easier to write that way (as it's kinda from your perspective). You'll note he bolts before Troi does.

(OOC: Ah, yes--just checked. Fighter/Rogue. That could work in our favour, actually, if we can pin him down by shooting the horse. Fighter/Rogues are known for an Achilles Heel of sorts--:])

Seeing the men disappear down the street, Ogrin stops and simply states, "Aye, that's the one that tried to hire us."

Seeing the others race into the distance, Ogrin sighs, shakes his head and heads for the inn.

(OOC: Okay cool. Since Ogrin's okay with it, the plan is to have Troi, Jaan, and Wil shoot at the horse. Because it is running, the AC drops from 13 to 12. The penalty for shooting at full run is -8. That means Troi is +0 to hit, Jaan is -4, and Wil is -5. All hit for 1d8. One hit won't take the horse down, but it is likely to screw up the rider if he is moving at full speed, and he can't turn around to shoot back at us because he has to look to see where he's going. We just keep doing this every round, hitting on average once per round, and he'll be down in thirty seconds flat unless something really weird happens.)

(OOC: Edit--forgot Raz, who is also +0 to Hit after the -8 for 1d8 Damage. Never mind, then. That horse will average two to four rounds unless we get awful luck)

OOC: May I point out that firing arrows on a crowded street might not be the best idea? A lot of 'innocent bystanders' around...
