I have a suspicion of a memory they’ve had to do just that on this very topic before from another threadSo are spellcasting elves.
For the love of all that's lawful and good, please take this elf cantrip discussion back to it's own dedicated thread.

The 2014 PHB literally says Dragons corrupted by Takhisis are a type of dragonborn. It's in the sidebar entitled "Draconians," which explains that the draconians of Krynn, with their canonical method of creation, are a type of dragonborn specific to the Dragonlance setting. The Draconians were corrupted Dragons, thats not what a Dragonborn is.

I literally do not understand what you think the problem even is. What you think got changed?![]()
Dont like it. That can be it, it could have been it for 20 years, its not what it was.

That's just semantics. I am sure people on Krynn still call them draconians. Like they're a species of dragon people, it is the same thing, nothing got changed. All that happened was that the designers said "hey, we have these rules for dragon people, so you can use them for draconians." It's like saying that the kender are a type of an halfling.Calling Draconians a type of Dragonborn.
Not rhetorical, actually curious: Do you also object to tinker gnomes being categorized as a type of rock gnome in the 2014 PHB?Calling Draconians a type of Dragonborn.
